Come to southern Brittany, between Vannes and Lorient and a stone’s throw from the Morbihan Gulf, where you’ll find this beautiful old building that was once a presbytery, dating from the 1500s. From here, Étel, Quiberon, Carnac and Erdeven’s beaches are all yours.
The Manoir du Guern rises up from the surrounding Breton countryside. Surrounded by protective moats, a wonderful orchard and tree-filled parkland, it will be love at first sight for any fans of ancient stones and deep calm.
Frédérique and Bernard have been highly selective in the materials used to restore the Manor, including lime, hemp, original floor tiles and woodwork, and the result is a warm and authentic atmosphere from the moment you walk through the door. The décor in the rooms is a happy blend of charm, authenticity and calm to create a relaxing result with a touch of romance.
Biks are available for guest use so you can explore the countryside up to the Basilica of Sainte Anne D’auray, the Utopia Ecoparc Aventure or the Ecomuseum in Saint Degan.
Not far from here you also have the adorable port of Saint Goustan, Le Bono, and the pretty authentic seaside village of La Trinité sur Mer whose harbours are bursting with sailing boats.
