Tucked away between the ports of Doëlan and Bélon, not far from Pont-Aven and Quimperlé, you’ll find Moelan-sur Mer, a charming spot in French Cornouaille.
Here, within a lush green hamlet, La Matine is a traditional stone longère building that has been carefully restored, yet keeps its clothing of roses, its large orchard garden scented with jasmine and cottage flowers, and from Easter to October, it could be your home from home.
Decorated with refined taste, the cottage offers a well-equipped kitchen, a spacious living area, and a south-facing terrace for relaxing whenevr you wish. Upstairs, you’ll find two lovely suites in soft shades that harmonise with the chestnut floorboards, timbers and linen fabrics.
If you’re an art fan, don’t miss nearby Pont-Aven renowned for its galleries, art museum and artistic inspiration. A Nature lover? The coast here boasts incredible views over the Glénan islands and the Île de Groix. And if you’re a foodie, you must taste the Belon oysters, the butter biscuits of Pont-Aven and all the other regional specialities.
