ARTICLE 3: PERSONAL DATA COLLECTED AND PROCESSED WHEN BROWSING THE SITE

Article 3.1: Data Collected
The personal data collected as part of our activity are as follows:

  • When submitting a contact request via the “Join Charme Bretagne” form: First name, Last name, Website address of your property, email address, phone number, message details.
  • When submitting a contact request via the “Contact Us” form: Name, phone number, email address, message details.
  • When browsing the site: Connection data (anonymized IP address, logs), browsing data (pages visited, duration of visit, etc.), information about the device and browser used. Non-exhaustive list.
  • When subscribing to the newsletter: Email address.

The collection and processing of this data serve the following purpose(s):

  • Responding to information and contact requests.
  • Improving the user experience and the services offered on the site.
  • Analyzing site usage and compiling traffic statistics (via Matomo).
  • Sending newsletters (only if the user has explicitly given his consent).

Article 3.2: Data Collection Methods
When you use our site, the following data are automatically collected:
IP address, information about your browser and device, connection and browsing data (pages visited, date and time of connection, etc.), through cookies or similar technologies (see Article 3.5).

Other personal data are collected when you perform the following operations on the platform:

  • When you fill out a contact or booking request form: First name, Last name, Website address of your property, email address, phone number, message details. Purpose: to process your request and provide you with a response.
  • Collection of your email address. Purpose: to send you our news and offers.
  • When creating a user account: Username, Email address, First name, Last name, Website address. Purpose: to create a user so they can manage one or more accommodation listings.
  • When creating an accommodation listing: All useful data related to the accommodation. Purpose: to create an accommodation listing describing the services offered.

They are kept by the data controller under reasonable security conditions, for a period of:

  • Data related to contact requests: Kept for the time necessary to process the request and manage the commercial relationship, for a period of 1 year.
  • Connection and browsing data: For a maximum period of 24 months.
  • Until the user withdraws consent.

The association may retain certain personal data beyond the periods announced above in order to fulfill its legal or regulatory obligations (for example, retention of invoices for 10 years) or to enable us to manage any claims or disputes.

  • The booking platforms of the owners of one or more accommodations, when you make a booking request for their establishment. Only the data necessary to manage your request will be communicated to them.

The Association Charme Bretagne has not appointed a Data Protection Officer (DPO) as it does not meet the mandatory requirements. The data controller mentioned in Article 4.1 is your contact for any questions relating to the protection of your personal data.

If you believe, after contacting us, that your ‘Informatique et Libertés’ (Data Protection) rights have not been respected, you can submit information to the CNIL (French Data Protection Authority).

ARTICLE 5: USER RIGHTS REGARDING DATA COLLECTION AND PROCESSING
Any user concerned by the processing of their personal data may avail themselves of the following rights, pursuant to European Regulation 2016/679 (GDPR) and the French Data Protection Act (Loi 78-17 of January 6, 1978):
