This former 19th-century hunting lodge has been renovated and decorated with refined taste  in an art-deco style, now offering elegant bedrooms and suites, each with a stunning view of the Odet River. Here, nature is forever present, and you can enjoy it from the moment you awake. After a generous, healthy breakfast, go and lose yourself in the extensive grounds to make the most of the peace and quiet, reconnecting to life and feeling re-energised. It’s an ideal spot for observing birds and wildlife, too, and the landscape that shifts with every season, every tide.

There’s no theatricality here, you’ll quickly feel at home and this ease will stay with you throughout your stay. So much so that you might find it hard to pull yourself away from Penfrat. Even so, while you’re here, maybe take time to explore the delights of south Finistère, from the cathedral city of Quimper to the cobbled streets of Locronan, coastal Concarneau, artistic Pont-Aven and the beaches and pretty ports of Pays Bigouden.
