Located between Pontivy and Josselin, near the pretty market town of Rohan, this hidden gem is an epicurean treat. It’s up to you to decide who comes with you and how to get here, but as for the place, look no further!
When you arrive at this lovely, hundred-year-old longère, Anouck and Joris will welcome you (with a light Belgian accent) and put you at ease, so you’re immediately ready to relax into this pretty white house with the blue shutters. Let your senses guide you, you’ll be swept away by their enthusiasm for cooking and ready to indulge yourself.
The flower-filled gardens, the old oak trees, the heated pool behind the house – the scene is set for relaxation, so all you need to do is put down your bags and unwind.
This haven is also tucked away within an area full of tourist appeal, should you wish to explore: you’re in the heart of southern Brittany, just 40 minutes from the Morbihan Gulf, and in easy reach of all the local sights.
Should you find the energy, you could even spend a happy day cycling along the towpath of the Nantes-Brest canal (GR37) or drive to the nearby Abbaye de Timadeuc.
Of course, it’s highly likely that once you’ve settled in, it will be hard to tear yourself away from the deep Breton countryside, its soporific charm and the temptation of lingering and lounging. Talk about the good life, here it is!
